On the farm  ·  Barnardsville, North Carolina

Our table.

Three ways to sit down here. A plate on the porch on a Saturday, a ticketed dinner in the Main Hall on a night we announce, or the whole room booked for your own people.

Weekends

The BBQ

Come as you are and grab a plate on the farm. No reservations, no fuss — just order when you arrive, find a seat and enjoy, or take your food to go. We'll be serving until we sell out.

Farm dinners

Gather beneath the timber frame, with a stone fireplace at the heart of the room and seating for fifty. One table, one seating, and a menu inspired by whatever the farm is producing that month.

I  ·  The BBQ

Smoked slow, served until it's gone.

We cook Eastern North Carolina barbecue in the mountains. Whole shoulders go on overnight and come off to be chopped by hand — no pulling, no shredding, a cleaver and a block — then dressed with vinegar and pepper. Brisket rides low and slow from the night before until the bark sets. Ribs, beef or pork depending on the week. Sausage hand made in our butcher shop.

The sides are cooked with the same attention. Collards simmered down with a smoked pig head. Mac and cheese baked until the top caramelizes. Potato salad with bacon crumbled over it, cornbread with whipped hot honey butter. Our vinegar sauce is on every table, and you won't need much of it.

Sit on the porch or come inside to the Main Hall, whichever suits the weather. Beverages are on us, football is on the TV indoors, music is going on the porch. You can see the cattle from the table.

The board at the farm is the real menu. Meats and sides move with the season and with whatever the farm is doing, and our vinegar sauce is on every table.

II  ·  Farm dinners

Fifty seats, one fire, one night.

The Main Hall is built of heavy timber and stone, with low light and a fire at the heart of the room. Dinner is shaped by the season and centered around what we're raising and growing on the farm — simple, thoughtful food served in a warm, intimate setting.

Seats are sold one at a time, so the table fills with neighbors from the community and from afar. A wonderful setting to meet people, enjoy great food, and share good fellowship.

III  ·  Private dinners

Or take the whole room.

The Main Hall, the fire, and the kitchen can be yours for the evening. Rehearsal dinners, birthdays, a company night, a hunting party at the end of the season.

The food starts from the same place the ticketed dinners do — what the farm is doing that month, and what's hanging in the cooler — and then we build the menu around your group. Tell us how many, when, and what the night is for.
